From 2010 to 2017, Park began to explore digital photography. Park had initially believed that photography was not a true art form like painting or sculpture because they had assumed that the camera did most of the work. Upon engaging with the medium, Park realized that the camera was just a tool like a brush or a pencil. Unlike painting and drawing, where the artist would be able to spawn something out of nothing onto the blank canvas or paper through imagination, photography requires the photographer to play with the visual elements of the light and shadow, angle, and composition in capturing what is in front of the photographer. It would require a careful and speedy eye for observation, as well as a precise understanding of light and the exposure triangle, which are initially unfamiliar territories to painters.

During those years, Park experimented with a wide range of photography, including street, portrait, architecture, landscape, and abstract. The first steps that Park took in photography involved a KODAK digital camera and the winter landscapes of Rochester in 2010.
