In 2021, Park experimented with Light-based paintings using light sources and a camera on long-exposure. Park developed this experimental process based on Professor Gregory Halpern’s suggestion that Park try something that they had never done before with the camera. Through the light-based painting, Park extended their painterly practice into digital (and film) photography, substituting brush strokes with gestures involving the light.
